Overview of the Department

Welcome to the Website of the Department of Economics at Kotebe Metropolitan University!

Economists study the production, distribution and consumption of goods and services - essential knowledge for today's business leaders and policy makers. Because Economics deals with these fundamental issues of our material well-being, it sheds light on the reasons why some societies are rich and others are poor. This also makes it a powerful tool for analyzing the costs and benefits of decisions, whether they are made by governments, business, or individuals.

The Department of Economics is a new and one of the pillar departments that make up the Faculty of Business and Economics at Kotebe University.
